The volume of international money transfers to Uzbekistan in January–June 2026 reached $9.3 billion. According to the country's Central Bank, this figure was 13% higher than the result for the same period in 2025, when receipts amounted to $8.2 billion.
Compared to the first half of 2024, the growth was even more significant – at that time, the volume of transfers was $6.5 billion. At the same time, the outflow of funds through international transfers remained almost unchanged, amounting to about $1.3 billion. As a result, the positive balance of operations increased to $8 billion, compared to $7 billion a year earlier.
The Central Bank notes that the growth of transfers has become one of the key factors in the stability of Uzbekistan's foreign exchange market. Along with an increase in export earnings and the sale of foreign currency by the population, this has allowed maintaining a balance between supply and demand for currency. By the end of June, the dollar exchange rate was 12,009 soms, practically unchanged since the beginning of the year.
