Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev launched nine innovative projects and initiated the construction of the Future Technology Center in Nurafshan. The new complex will become part of a large digital ecosystem around the state university Cyber University, established to train specialists in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, robotics, and digital technologies.
The Future Technology Center will be located on an area of 36 hectares, with investments in the project estimated at approximately $500 million. It will include scientific laboratories, an artificial intelligence data center, an engineering cluster, platforms for developing secure computers, data transmission equipment, as well as testing grounds for drones and robotic systems.
Simultaneously, nine new projects with a total value of $465 million were presented, involving companies from Russia, China, and Germany. According to authorities, these projects will create about 5,000 jobs, with an equal number expected to emerge through the development of the technology center itself. Uzbekistan expects the new cluster to accelerate the development of startups, the digital economy, and IT service exports.
