As of August 1, 2026, there were 601.3 thousand active enterprises and organizations in Uzbekistan. Of these, 440.9 thousand, or 73.3%, are small enterprises and micro-firms, excluding farms and dehkan farms. Over the year, the total number increased by 8.1%.
The largest number of enterprises is registered in Tashkent — 114,839, or 19.1% of the total. This is followed by Tashkent Region with 57,004 enterprises and Samarkand Region with 55,449. The main area of activity remains trade — 164,481 enterprises, or 27.4%. Agriculture, forestry, and fisheries account for 21.9%, and industry for 10.6%.
Among commercial organizations, limited liability companies predominate — 356.8 thousand, or 80.1%. Private enterprises account for 10.6%, and family enterprises for 8.4%. At the same time, the number of enterprises with foreign investments reached 20,973, an increase of 26.3% over the year. Over five years, their number has increased 1.7 times.
China remains the leader in the number of companies with foreign capital — 6,241 enterprises. This is followed by Russia with 3,512 companies and Turkey with 2,327. The majority of such enterprises are concentrated in Tashkent — 13,114, or 62.5% of the total.
