Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the Constitutional Law "On the International Digital Technology Center". The document establishes a special legal regime for "Enterprise Uzbekistan", valid until 2100.
The new regulatory system covers investments, taxation and customs issues, labor relations, data and intellectual property protection, public services, artificial intelligence, education, and the testing of innovative solutions.
The Center's rules will be able to incorporate elements of English law and the standards of leading international financial centers. At the same time, the benefits and preferences granted to companies cannot be prematurely revoked or worsened before the expiration of their established term.
The authorities expect that this approach will help attract international technology corporations, startups, research organizations, and highly qualified specialists to Uzbekistan.
"Enterprise Uzbekistan" believes that the adoption of the law is an important step in forming a predictable legal environment for global business and creating a competitive technological ecosystem in the country.
