Starting September 23, 2026, e-commerce operators in Uzbekistan will operate under a notification procedure. The new rules apply to operators of electronic trading platforms, order aggregators, and digital streaming services. The relevant regulation has been approved by the National Agency for Perspective Projects and registered by the Ministry of Justice.
To operate, a company must be registered in Uzbekistan as a legal entity and comply with legislation on e-commerce, personal data protection, copyright, advertising, and consumer rights protection. It must also have an information system for providing services to e-commerce participants and ensure the accuracy of the information provided.
To commence operations, the operator sends a notification through the information system of the National Agency for Perspective Projects using OneID. The document specifies company details, TIN, address, bank details, and the head of the company, and includes documents confirming compliance with established requirements. A register of operators will be published on the agency's website.
