The Jiyda Kapa water intake and supply facility in the Uychi district of Namangan region has been fully reconstructed and is now operational. Its capacity has been approximately doubled from the previous 90-100 thousand to 180 thousand cubic meters of water per day. The project was implemented using modern technologies with the participation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The facility has been equipped with energy-efficient motors and pumps, and a SCADA digital control and monitoring system has been implemented. This system allows real-time monitoring of equipment operation and prompt management of technological processes. The reconstruction is particularly important for Namangan, as Jiyda Kapa provides drinking water to approximately 60-65% of the city's residents.
The renovated water intake was put into operation on the eve of the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence. The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of regional authorities, O‘zsuvta’minot, industry specialists, and the public. After modernization, the facility will continue to supply Namangan with water, but with significantly greater capacity and more modern system control.
