A delegation from "Tashkent Metro" visited the Shanghai Metro and relevant enterprises in China to study modern technologies and the possibilities of their implementation in the capital's subway system.
During the working trip, specialists are familiarizing themselves with platform sliding doors, modern elevators and escalators, ventilation systems, as well as special equipment for tunnel maintenance – AGM railcars. Special attention is paid to the energy efficiency of equipment, passenger safety, and technical maintenance issues.
The Uzbek delegation also visited the Shanghai Metro Design Institute, where they discussed infrastructure design, engineering solutions, and the development of modern metro systems. At the Shanghai Metro itself, specialists are studying train movement organization, passenger flow management, infrastructure operation, and safety systems.
Based on the results of the trip, the acquired Chinese experience is planned to be used in the further development of the Tashkent Metro. The authorities expect to enhance passenger safety and comfort, improve facility operation, and reduce energy consumption through modern technologies.
