Uzbekistan Airways will install a full-function FFS simulator for the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner at its Training Center in Tashkent. It will be the first such complex in Central Asia. The simulator will be manufactured by the Canadian company CAE Inc., and its Level D certification will ensure the most accurate reproduction of the cockpit, systems, and flight characteristics of the aircraft.
The delivery of the simulator is provided for by Uzbekistan Airways' contract with Boeing for 22 Boeing 787-9 aircraft. Its own simulator will allow for a full cycle of pilot training directly in Uzbekistan, increasing the airline's autonomy and reducing the cost of training abroad.
Uzbekistan Airways has been operating the Dreamliner for ten years. The first Boeing 787-8 arrived in Tashkent in September 2016. In 2025, the airline signed the largest contract in its history for 22 Boeing 787-9s, the first of which are expected from 2031. The new aircraft are expected to increase carrying capacity and allow for the opening of additional long-haul and intercontinental routes.
