The Uzbek-Japanese Center has opened at Bukhara State Technical University, serving as a new platform to strengthen cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan. The ceremony was attended by representatives from Bukhara Region, the university, the Japanese Embassy, and JICA. The center will develop joint initiatives in education, science, innovation, and cultural and humanitarian exchange.
The main focus will be on youth. The center will create conditions for studying Japanese language and culture, participating in international educational and scientific projects, exchanging experiences, and gaining new professional opportunities. The opening of the platform is seen as another step in expanding ties between educational and scientific organizations in Uzbekistan and Japan.
As part of the Japanese delegation's visit, Ambassador Kenji Hirata met with the Khokim of Bukhara Region, Botir Zaripov. The parties discussed entrepreneurship development, job creation, employment, and the implementation of joint projects. The guests also visited Bukhara's historical sights, familiarizing themselves with the architecture, national crafts, and the city's history as one of the largest centers of science, trade, and culture on the Great Silk Road.
