Uzbekistan ranked third in Central Asia by the volume of data found in leaked databases in 2025 and the first half of 2026. According to the F6 Cyber Threat Landscape Report, attackers compromised approximately 15 million rows, which accounts for about 6% of all data identified in the region. Only Kazakhstan had more, with about 25 million rows, and Tajikistan, where the figure reached 217 million.
In total, F6 discovered over 600 million compromised user records worldwide during this period across 164 leak publications. In Central Asia, the region accounted for about 257 million rows. However, in terms of the number of publications themselves, Uzbekistan ranked second: 29% of leaks compared to 57% for Kazakhstan and 14% for Tajikistan. A single row in such databases can contain a name, email, passport details, login, or password.
The main volume of compromised information in the region came from the government sector – 96% of all records, with almost the entire figure formed by one large-scale leak in Tajikistan. Education accounted for 3%, and in terms of the number of individual publications, the government sector, education, and the financial industry led. F6 emphasizes that not only large-scale incidents but also numerous small leaks pose a danger, so organizations are advised to regularly check system security, monitor compromised credentials, and prepare response plans in advance.
