Sherzod Shermatov, Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, discussed measures to improve the investment climate in the IT sector with representatives from the President's advisor's office. Participants of the meeting considered ways to attract foreign capital, improve existing mechanisms, and strengthen cooperation between organizations working with investors.
Particular attention was paid to small and medium-sized foreign companies. Specifically, simplifying their entry procedures into the Uzbek market was discussed. The parties also proposed closer coordination of the work of structures responsible for investments in different regions and industries, so that investors receive clearer and more systematized information about available opportunities.
In addition, participants considered the interaction of Enterprise Uzbekistan with other investment platforms and the possibility of extending successful approaches from the IT sector to other areas of the economy. Following the meeting, the parties agreed to prepare practical proposals for attracting investments and to strengthen support for companies at all stages – from market entry to project implementation.
