Starting September 9, five-car CRRC-Dalian electric trains of Chinese manufacture will begin operating between Khiva and Bukhara. The train is designed for 415 economy-class passengers. From Khiva, train No. 707 will depart at 09:55 and arrive in Bukhara at 14:32, while the return journey, train No. 706, will depart at 15:45 and arrive in Khiva at 20:25. The ticket price will be 270.8 thousand soums.
Trains will run daily on the Khiva — Bukhara route, except Tuesdays, and in the opposite direction, except Mondays. From September 14, similar trains will start operating between Bukhara and Tashkent on Mondays, and from September 15, return trains will depart on Tuesdays. The journey between Bukhara and the capital will take about six hours.
The launch of new trains will lead to adjustments in the schedules of several existing trains, including the Tashkent — Khiva, Tashkent — Shavat, Andijan — Kungrad, and Urgench — Nukus routes. Chinese CR200J trains are already operating on the Urgench — Khiva route and can reach speeds of up to 160 km/h. The new trains will feature Wi-Fi, charging ports, air conditioning, heating, as well as VIP, business, and economy classes.
