Trinasolar supplied 184 thousand solar modules for the Sarimay HPP in Uzbekistan

The 126 MW solar power plant is already connected to the country's energy system and will be able to generate about 252 GWh of electricity annually

Trinasolar supplied 184,328 Vertex N solar modules with a capacity of 695 W for the Sarimay HPP in the Khorezm region. The 126 MW power plant has been fully commissioned and is already transmitting electricity from a renewable source to Uzbekistan's unified energy system. Construction of the facility began in May 2024, and the plant generated its first megawatt-hours back in November 2025.

The HPP occupies about 180 hectares and is designed to generate approximately 252 GWh annually – enough to provide electricity to about 60 thousand residents. A three-kilometer power transmission line was built to connect to the national energy system. According to Trinasolar's estimates, the plant's operation will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 140 thousand tons annually.

Sarimay uses Trinasolar Vertex N NEG21C.20 bifacial modules with n-type solar cells and i-TOPCon technology. They are capable of generating energy from both surfaces and are designed for a dry continental climate with high temperatures, temperature fluctuations, sand, and dust. The output power of the modules is covered by a 30-year warranty, and the estimated service life of the plant itself is 25 years. Uzbekistan expects to increase the share of renewable sources in electricity generation to 40% by 2030.
