The share of Uzbekistan residents aged 10 and older who use the internet reached 97.3% in January–August 2026. These data are provided by the National Statistics Committee, citing the results of a sample household survey. Five years ago, the indicator was significantly lower — 76.6%.
Internet penetration in the country continued to accelerate almost every year. In 2022, 83.9% of the population in the corresponding age group used internet access, in 2023 — 89%, and in 2024, the indicator rose to 93.3%. In 2025, the share of internet users reached 94.6%.
In the first eight months of 2026, the indicator increased by another 2.7 percentage points and reached 97.3%. Thus, since 2021, the share of Uzbekistan residents over 10 years old who use the internet has increased by 20.7 percentage points. If the current dynamics continue, the country is approaching almost complete internet coverage of the population.
