The Competition Committee of Uzbekistan has launched an investigation into the WB Taxi service following consumer complaints. In the first eight months of the year, the agency recorded about 20 appeals and social media posts related to the aggregator's operations. Users, in particular, reported that cars sometimes do not arrive at the address specified in the order, and it is not always possible to contact drivers through the service.
During the inspection, the Committee identified "insufficient compliance" with certain requirements of consumer protection and e-commerce legislation. The agency also pointed out non-compliance with some norms applicable to digital platforms with a dominant status or significant bargaining power. An official request has been sent to WB Taxi asking for information on the service's operation and the organization of feedback between passengers and drivers.
Citizens' appeals remain under the Committee's control. WB Taxi launched its operations in Tashkent in December 2025, initially for a limited number of users, and became available to everyone on March 23. Later, the service expanded to Samarkand, and from July, it began operating in Bukhara.
