The first participants of the "Atom 2050" project, which will launch in 2027 with the support of Rosatom, were announced at the International Youth Festival in Russia. Amin Shadyev, a representative from Uzbekistan, joined the international team. Along with him, the first six included representatives from Russia, Brazil, Lebanon, and Indonesia, while the remaining 94 participants will be determined early next year.
In total, delegates aged 18 to 35 from over 190 countries could apply for participation. Ten people reached the final, where they had to present their vision of the present and future of the nuclear industry to an expert jury.
A total of 100 young people will participate in the project. Together with scientists, engineers, and strategists, they will develop scenarios for global development by 2050 and determine the possible role of nuclear technologies. The program also includes technical trips to Rosatom facilities, meetings with experts, and collaborative work on the concept of the future, with results planned to be presented at the end of 2027.
