In August, the average data download speed in Uzbekistan's mobile networks increased from 62.42 to 65.27 Mbps. This allowed the country to climb from 75th to 72nd place in the global Speedtest Global Index. Over the past five years, Uzbekistan's indicator has improved by 65 positions.
Since the beginning of 2026, mobile internet has also significantly accelerated: in eight months, the average download speed increased by 27% — from 51.42 to 65.27 Mbps. The fixed connection indicator in August rose from 94.23 to 94.50 Mbps.
Compared to December 2025, Uzbekistan rose in the global fixed speed ranking from 76th to 73rd place. At the same time, the country took first place among CIS states for fixed internet speed, according to the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan.
