Uztelecom Deploys AI Infrastructure Outside Tashkent - New Data Centers Appear in Bukhara and Kokand

The company is expanding its national cloud platform and creating a distributed network of computing power for artificial intelligence and big data

On September 22, Uztelecom launched two new data centers in Bukhara and Kokand. They became part of the unified infrastructure of the national cloud platform UzCloud and are designed to work with artificial intelligence, large data arrays, and high-performance computing. Clients have access to IaaS, PaaS, SaaS services, S3 object storage, and BaaS backup, as well as AI Cloud and GPU-as-a-Service with specialized servers for training and running AI models.

The new sites are located more than 300 km from Tashkent and have become Uztelecom's most remote data centers. The distribution of computing resources should increase system fault tolerance: in case of problems at one site, the load can be transferred to another. Both facilities have received Tier III Design certificates from the Uptime Institute, and are equipped with redundant power supply and cooling systems, additional communication channels, and connection to the Uztelecom backbone network and TAS-IX.

The next stage will be the launch of another data center in the Zangiata district of the Tashkent region. Its commissioning is scheduled for autumn 2026. The site has also received Tier III certification from the Uptime Institute. The company is developing its infrastructure taking into account the requirements of ISO/IEC 27001 and plans to confirm the compliance of its data centers with the PCI DSS standard, related to the protection of payment data.
