More smartphones are being imported into Uzbekistan

Over eight months, 3.26 million devices worth $653.5 million were imported into the country, and the average cost of a smartphone sharply increased.

In January–August 2026, Uzbekistan imported 3.26 million mobile phones for a total of $653.5 million. According to the Customs Committee, the volume of supplies increased by 527.2 thousand devices, or 19.2%, compared to the same period in 2025.

The average import cost of one phone reached approximately $200, compared to $111.7 a year earlier. Thus, the figure increased by $88.3, or 79%. At the same time, over eight months of 2025, 2.73 million mobile devices worth $305.7 million were imported into Uzbekistan.

China remains the largest supplier of mobile phones to the Uzbek market. In addition, supplies are made from Vietnam, India, the Republic of Korea, and other countries.
