Uzbekistan Railways transported 5.9 million passengers in six months

Passenger traffic increased by 600 thousand people, and the volume of freight transportation reached 56.3 million tons

In January–June 2026, approximately 5.9 million passengers used railway transport in Uzbekistan. According to the National Statistics Committee, this figure was 0.6 million people higher than the result for the same period last year.

Thus, in the first six months, passenger rail transport showed a significant increase compared to January–June 2025.

In parallel, railway transport continued to be actively used for freight transportation. During the reporting period, 56.3 million tons of cargo were transported by rail in Uzbekistan.
