Namangan's bus fleet has been replenished with modern transport, and now the number of new buses in the city has reached 130 units. The main part of the update came from 108 buses imported by entrepreneurs as part of the implementation of Presidential Decree No. PP-59 of February 16, 2023. Based on these, passenger transportation has been organized on 10 city routes under a gross-contract system.
Another 12 Yutong buses were acquired by OOO "Firdavs trans servis". According to the regional administration, the launch of new transport has created more than 25 jobs. In September, 10 Zhongtong electric buses, acquired by OOO "Turon-95 MBI", also started operating on city routes. Thus, the renewal of public transport in Namangan is taking place simultaneously through modern buses and vehicles with electric power plants.
The presentation of the new vehicles was attended by the Hokim of Namangan Region, Shavkatjon Abdurazzakov, representatives of law enforcement agencies and specialized organizations. Participants were shown the technical characteristics of the buses and the conditions provided for passengers, and issues of operating the new transport on city routes were also discussed.
