Pension services to be digitized in Uzbekistan

Pension services will be available online, and certain payments will be automatically assigned without citizens' applications

From January 1, 2027, the Pension Fund of Uzbekistan will stop accepting paper documents and information from citizens. At the same time, the practice of proactive pension assignment will expand: starting from November 1, 2026, early retirement pensions for citizens recognized as unemployed will be assigned without an application. From the beginning of 2027, the same procedure will apply to survivor's pensions.

In 2027, an online service “My Pension” will be launched, through which citizens will be able to receive information about the size and parameters of future payments in advance. It is also planned to process preferential pensions, transfer payments for cash receipt, restore suspended payments, and obtain data on deductions and paid social tax electronically. When changing residence, pension documents can be registered at the new address remotely.

The changes will also affect the formation of work experience. From October 1, 2026, citizens working under civil law contracts will automatically be credited with one year of experience upon payment of social tax in the established amount. From January 1, 2027, officially employed citizens will be able to voluntarily pay social tax for an unemployed family member so that their work experience is also formed. The amount of such a payment will be 12% of the minimum wage, and information about contributions and experience will be available through a mobile application or personal account.
