Uzbekistan to Select 20 Startups for International Market Entry

Technological projects will receive free mentorship, assistance in investment preparation, and practical recommendations for business scaling

An open competition has started in Uzbekistan to select 20 technological startups that will receive comprehensive support in business development and preparation for attracting investments. The program is implemented by the Ministry of Economy and Finance as part of FINGROW preparation with the participation of the World Bank. Selected projects will be helped to improve business positioning, develop a market strategy, and prepare for scaling.

The mentors for the participants will be a team led by Eli David Rokach, founder and CEO of StartupBlink. As part of the program, entrepreneurs will be able to gain practical experience in creating global companies, interacting with government and corporate structures, promoting in foreign markets, and managing growth. StartupBlink researches startup ecosystems and collaborates with more than 150 governments and organizations, and Rokach has experience working with ecosystems in more than 120 countries.

Technological startups focused on industry and production in Uzbekistan are eligible to participate in the competition. Active participation during the mentorship period will be required from participants, with knowledge of English being desirable for effective work with experts. Participation for selected projects will be free. Applications are accepted until October 14, and during selection, innovation, investment readiness, scaling and market potential, alignment of the solution with the stated problem, and the participant's region will be assessed.
