Most small and medium-sized businesses in Uzbekistan already use digital payments, but only 37% have switched to integrated platforms that combine payments with business management tools. At the same time, 55% of surveyed entrepreneurs find such solutions attractive. This is stated in the Pay and Get Paid 2026 study, which Visa conducted with the support of Ipak Yuli Bank. According to the report's authors, the next stage of market digitalization is the integration of payments into daily business processes.
Among the main difficulties, entrepreneurs named compliance with tax and regulatory requirements — 23%, administrative work — 17%, and financial accounting — 16%. Among companies not using integrated platforms, 15% consider their business too small for such solutions, another 15% are unaware of their existence, and 8% prefer manual processes. At the same time, among users of integrated tools, 70% are satisfied with their work, and 55% note increased efficiency and reduced time spent on company management.
Visa believes that combining payments and operational tools will benefit not only entrepreneurs but also financial organizations. Transaction and cash flow data will allow for more accurate risk assessment and offer companies more suitable credit products. According to Bekhzod Abdurakhmanov, Senior Director of Visa in Uzbekistan, integrated platforms will help banks better understand the needs of small businesses and, if necessary, offer solutions for working capital management and growth financing.
