Uzbekistan's Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov, held online negotiations with representatives of the international consulting company EY. Timothy Grosser, EY Partner and Head of Engagement with NVIDIA and Dell Technologies, participated in the meeting. The parties reviewed prospects for developing the national technological ecosystem, with a special focus on artificial intelligence and areas where Uzbekistan can strengthen its position in the global market.
One of the topics was attracting international technology companies and investments, as well as increasing IT service exports. Participants discussed training qualified specialists for the industry and ways to translate technological initiatives into concrete economic results. Among the priorities is the creation of new jobs with high added value and competitive wages.
The Ministry of Digital Technologies and EY expressed interest in continuing cooperation and preparing practical steps for implementing joint initiatives. Separately, the parties intend to explore opportunities for cooperation with IT Park Uzbekistan and the Enterprise Uzbekistan project. It is expected that such work will contribute to achieving the country's long-term goals in digitalization and the development of high-tech business.
