The Uzeltekhsanoat Association held negotiations with Chinese Guangdong RIPO Industry Co., Ltd. on the possible organization of optical fiber production in Uzbekistan. The meeting with the company's head and local partners was chaired by the Chairman of the Board of the Association, M. Yunusov. The localization of equipment and services for the cable industry was also noted among the promising areas of cooperation.
Separately, the parties considered the creation of a service center for servicing cable manufacturing equipment. It is assumed that it could be located in the Eltech Industrial technopark in Akhangaran. In addition, the sides discussed the possibility of organizing the production of optical fiber, which is in high demand in telecommunications infrastructure, directly in Uzbekistan.
Guangdong RIPO Industry specializes in the supply of technological installations and integrated production lines for the production of copper and aluminum wires, as well as electrical and telecommunication cables. According to the company, its experience in this industry exceeds 20 years. So far, the negotiations have been limited to discussing potential projects: specific agreements, investment volumes, and project timelines have not been announced.
