ODK Engineering, a Rostec company, presented an integrated solution for modernizing the gas transportation system of the Republic of Uzbekistan as part of cooperation between the two countries. The project includes a technical upgrade of compressor stations using the latest Russian NK-14ST industrial engines.
The project was presented at the panel session "Energy Projects: New Opportunities for Russia and Uzbekistan".
The solution will help increase gas transportation volumes and improve the technological level of Uzbekistan's gas transportation network.
The proposals include the modernization of gas pumping units, overhaul of gas turbine drives, and the supply of more powerful equipment for key compressor stations of the transportation network. This will significantly increase the capacity of the gas transportation system and the export potential of the Republic.
The NK-14ST industrial gas turbine engine manufactured by ODK-Kuznetsov in Samara will increase the capacity of compressor stations while maintaining the continuity of technical solutions. The engine is capable of operating effectively in the high-temperature conditions typical of Central Asia.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the combined braking of electric and pneumatic brakes was implemented for the first time in Russia on the TEP-70BS diesel locomotive.
