Uzbekistan plans to reduce the cost of building materials by 5–10% through artificial intelligence technologies; in the next two years, enterprises will be allocated 100 billion soums for modernization.
Uzbekistan presented measures to digitalize the production of building materials. At a meeting with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on November 20, it was proposed to reduce the cost of production by 5–10 percent by introducing artificial intelligence and automated control systems. These solutions are expected to reduce production costs and accelerate the modernization of the industry.
To support enterprises, 100 billion soums will be allocated over the next two years. The funds are intended for companies that introduce digital technologies into production processes.
The increase in energy efficiency was discussed separately: an energy audit of 34 industries has already confirmed a reduction in fuel consumption. Next year, the share of energy-saving building materials is planned to be increased to 25 percent, and by 2030 to 35 percent.
The scientific component of the industry is being strengthened by four research projects conducted by the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology and specialists from Germany, South Korea and Turkey. From 2026, 30 billion soums will be allocated for the development of new technologies in the field of building materials. This should expand cooperation between scientific organizations and production enterprises.
Earlier, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed to double the volume of annual housing construction and increase the portfolio of mortgage loans by more than ten times. These guidelines are enshrined in a decree signed by the head of state, which defines the goals for the development of the housing sector until 2040.
