Wildberries has announced preparations for the technical launch of its own taxi booking service, WB Taxi, in Uzbekistan. In the first phase, the project will operate in a closed access format, allowing the system to be tested under controlled conditions.
According to the company, the first users will be Wildberries employees and partners. They will receive preferential rates, reduced vehicle delivery times, and a 50% cashback for cashless payments. The reward will be credited in the company's virtual currency, "watermelons."
Enhanced connection conditions are provided for drivers. Wildberries indicates that the main advantages include a reduced aggregator commission and a guaranteed income per shift, subject to service quality requirements.
The head of WB Taxi, Anatoly Smorgonsky, explained that the closed format will help focus on testing the system: "We will launch the service in stages and carefully monitor the operation of each element of the system. Feedback from participants will help us improve the product before scaling."
The company continues to develop its own logistics and transportation solutions. Wildberries believes that experience in managing large delivery flows creates a basis for launching additional high-tech services. The next stages involve expanding the WB Taxi service areas and gradually opening the service to a wide audience.
