Uzbekistan expands international cooperation in the space sector at Dubai Airshow 2025

Uzcosmos delegation held negotiations with partners from the UAE, USA and Japan

The Uzcosmos delegation participated in Dubai Airshow 2025, which took place from November 16 to 21 in Dubai. The exhibition traditionally brings together key companies in the aviation, space and defense industries and serves as a platform for discussing international projects and technological interaction.

During the visit, representatives of Uzcosmos held negotiations with Salem Butti Al Qubaisi, Director General of the UAE Space Agency. They discussed joint development of satellites and components, exchange of experience and development of space diplomacy. The delegation also visited the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), where they learned about satellite design, remote sensing data processing and the startup ecosystem. Following the meetings, the parties agreed to prepare an agreement on cooperation in scientific and technical projects.

Uzcosmos also held negotiations with the American companies VAST Space and Axiom Space, which operate in the field of commercial orbital stations, manned missions and astronaut training. The possibilities of technology transfer, joint research and development of personnel programs were discussed.

During the meeting with the Japanese company Terra Drone, the creation of a joint venture for the use of agrodrones in precision agriculture, aerial processing and monitoring of agricultural land was discussed.

Following the participation in the exhibition, the desire of Uzbekistan to integrate into the global space ecosystem, increase competence in high technologies and develop international partnerships, which should strengthen the scientific and technical potential of the country, was emphasized.
