A digital technology center, Enterprise Uzbekistan, will appear in Uzbekistan, becoming a separate territory with a special legal regime based on the norms and principles of England and Wales. The corresponding decree was signed by the country's president, the Ministry of Justice reported. The new IT center aims to develop high-tech areas and attract investment in the digital economy.
According to the document, Enterprise Uzbekistan specialists will be engaged in the development and implementation of solutions in the field of artificial intelligence, the creation of video games, as well as IT consulting and outsourcing of business processes. In addition, the center's tasks will include training, supporting domestic companies working with digital technologies, and creating a competitive innovation environment of international level.
The project fits into a broader strategy of digital transformation of the country. Previously, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev stated the need for accelerated implementation of digital solutions in all key areas - from education and public administration to economics and security, which should strengthen Uzbekistan's position in the global technology market.
