By the end of December, it is planned to supply 35 thousand tons of crude oil from Kazakhstan to the Fergana Oil Refinery. All products produced from this volume will be sent to the domestic market of Uzbekistan. The deliveries are designed to increase the plant's workload and more effectively utilize its production capacity.
According to experts, the potential for importing Kazakh oil is much higher: during the year, the volume of supplies can reach 500 thousand tons. This creates conditions for increasing the production of aviation kerosene, various oils and other petroleum products that are in demand in both industry and the transport sector.
KazTransOil recently resumed oil transit to Uzbekistan. In addition to supplies to the Fergana Oil Refinery, in December it is also planned to send 30 thousand tons of oil to Kyrgyzstan - this will be the first such delivery since 2017. The return of Kazakh oil to the region may not only revive the work of the Fergana Oil Refinery, but also give a new impetus to energy cooperation in Central Asia.
