The "New Uzbekistan" University project in New Tashkent is estimated at $200 million and will occupy 50 hectares. The campus is designed for 10,000 students and will include five faculty buildings, an administrative building, a museum, exhibition halls, multimedia rooms, and a library for a thousand visitors. Residential buildings will be able to accommodate 2,000 people, in addition, there will be canteens, a swimming pool and a sports complex for 1,000 seats.
The construction is being carried out by the Turkish company Özgüven, and the completion of the complex is scheduled for 2027. At the same time, a new National Library with an area of more than 30,000 m² is being built, designed for 1,420 readers. The building combines national architectural traditions with modern technologies, including "smart" shelves with RFID for book accounting and high-tech facilities for storing funds.
The library and campus will create a full-fledged educational and cultural center. For visitors, there is a gallery, a cafe for 300 seats, outdoor sports grounds and recreational areas. Special attention is paid to a barrier-free environment for people with visual impairments, which makes the project one of the most modern in the region.
