New escalators at Hamid Alimjan station in Tashkent to start operating from January 19

Modern devices are equipped with energy-saving systems

The installation of new escalators at the "Hamid Alimjan" station has been completed in the Tashkent Metro. The equipment is undergoing laboratory tests, after which it will be operated in test mode without passengers for 48 hours.

After receiving permission from the Committee on Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety, the escalators will begin serving passengers, and the station lobby will be opened for full use.

The old equipment at the station was temporarily closed for replacement. The new escalators are equipped with modern energy-saving technologies: the movement is activated automatically when passengers approach and operates in economical mode at other times.

The station's infrastructure is being updated as part of a phased modernization of the Tashkent Metro, aimed at improving the safety, comfort and energy efficiency of passenger transportation.
