Uzbekistan's Banks Break Record

Net Profit Exceeds 15 Trillion Soums

2025 became a historic year for the banking system of Uzbekistan — the total net profit of the industry reached 15.5 trillion soums, 2.3 times higher than the figure for 2024. Almost all banks finished the year with a positive result: 34 credit organizations showed a profit, with the exception of only "Yangi bank". At the same time, several banks, including Infinbank, Uzum Bank, and Ziraat Bank, recorded a decrease in profits, and the Business Development Bank finished the year with a loss of more than 2.2 trillion soums.

Uzmilliybank became the leader in income with a profit of 1,919 billion soums, followed by SQB — 1,880 billion soums and Kapitalbank — 1,788 billion soums. Significant indicators were also shown by Hamkorbank, Trustbank, Halk Bank, and KDB Bank Uzbekistan. At the same time, a number of small banks, including Openbank, Mybank, and AVO Bank, finished the year with minimal profits, not exceeding one billion soums.

Experts note that the growth was ensured by large and systemically important banks, while some developing organizations faced financial difficulties. 2025 went down in history as a period of record income and stable growth in the sector, demonstrating the need to improve risk management and business models in the banking sector.
