Uzbekistan has improved its position in the global digital readiness index Network Readiness Index 2025, rising immediately by 9 lines and taking 72nd place. The rating is published annually by the American Portulans Institute and is considered one of the key indicators of the level of digital development of countries.
The growth in the index reflects the sustainable nature of digital transformation in the country and progress in the introduction of information and communication technologies. The Network Readiness Index assesses the state of digital infrastructure, the development of electronic public services, the level of digital skills of the population and business, as well as the effectiveness of IT reforms.
For comparison, at the end of 2024, Uzbekistan ranked 81st, and in 2025 it was able to rise to 72nd position. The leaders of the rating are the USA, Finland, Singapore, Denmark and Sweden. Experts note that the growth of Uzbekistan's positions is associated with the expansion of electronic services, the development of digital infrastructure and the implementation of national IT initiatives.
