The first block train on the new multimodal route from China to Tajikistan was sent by the Uzbek-Chinese company UTK International Logistics. The train, consisting of eight 40-foot containers with consumer goods and construction equipment, departed from Lanzhou and is traveling through Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan to the Dushanbe-2 station. The route is over 3,500 kilometers long, and the travel time is estimated at 18–20 days.

The corridor was launched in test mode as part of regional cooperation between the three countries. With the support of Uzbek Railways, special tariff benefits are applied on the route, which increases its competitiveness for shippers. UTK International Logistics, founded in July 2025, specializes in consolidating cargo and developing rail and multimodal transportation between China and Central Asian countries.

The dispatch of the first block train was a practical step towards forming a sustainable logistics route between China and Central Asia. UTK already operates an assembly point in Lanzhou, and the company continues to develop the transit of goods through the territories of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan to Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
