American company Gulf Oil plans to create a large network of gas stations in Uzbekistan and invest in the development of the aviation sector. Gulf Vice President Craig Kramer said that the company will open at least 100 modern gas stations according to Western standards with high-quality fuel within two years. Total investment in the retail segment will amount to 150 million dollars.
It is planned to build multifunctional transport centers for tourists and transit carriers along highways. Each facility will create at least 30 jobs, and overall the projects will provide more than 3,000 new jobs. According to Kramer, the regions actively offered about 200 sites for cooperation, which demonstrates confidence in investors and an open business climate.
In addition to gas stations, Gulf Aviation will allocate about 50 million dollars to the aviation industry of Uzbekistan to introduce modern technologies and create a reliable fuel supply system for local and international airlines. Gulf's operating base in Central Asia will be located in Tashkent.
