In 2025, e-commerce in Uzbekistan showed record growth. The number of online platforms increased from 36 to 115, which is 3.2 times more than in 2024. Sales through e-commerce reached 22.7 trillion soums, which is 1.5 times higher than the previous year, and the share of online trading in the total retail volume increased from 3.7% to 4.6%.
The total volume of retail trade in the country last year amounted to 492.8 trillion soums against 410.07 trillion soums in 2024. For comparison, in 2020, online sales barely exceeded 1 trillion soums, occupying only 0.5% of the market.
Experts attribute the dynamics to the growth in the number of marketplaces and the improvement of digital infrastructure. The development of e-commerce not only makes it easier for citizens to purchase goods, but also creates new opportunities for entrepreneurs, stimulating technological investments and expanding the digital economy market.
