Uzbek AIR Tashkent and American Samson Sky have signed a memorandum of cooperation to promote the Switchblade flying car in the market of Uzbekistan and Central Asia. The document was signed on the opening day of the Easy to Fly Aviation Academy in Tashkent, where new specialists are planned to be trained for the industry.
The parties agreed to cooperate in the sale of at least 300 Switchblade units. The potential volume of deliveries is estimated at more than $60 million. AIR Tashkent intends to purchase some of the machines for pilot training — both for private and commercial operation. The American company will provide support using its own flight simulators and assist in the training of technical personnel.
A separate block of cooperation concerns certification: together with regulators, the partners will work on the admission of Switchblade to operation on public roads and in the country's airspace. It is noted that the model has already passed flight tests in the United States and is moving to mass production.
