From April 1, 2026, a new procedure for the sale of real estate and vehicles will come into force in Uzbekistan: all transactions will be conducted exclusively in non-cash form through notaries. This follows from Presidential Decree No. PF-246, aimed at promoting non-cash payments and reducing the share of the shadow economy.
A meeting was held at the Central Bank of the country with representatives of the Ministry of Justice and the Notary Chamber, where measures were discussed to inform the public about the innovation and ensure its practical implementation. The parties exchanged proposals for the implementation of the requirements and discussed the sequence of their implementation.
Particular attention was paid to creating the necessary infrastructure in partnership with commercial banks to ensure the convenience and security of non-cash payments for all participants in the real estate and vehicle market.
