On February 28, 2026, several international flights were forced to turn back due to the temporary closure of airspace over Iran and Israel. The restrictions, according to preliminary data, were in effect from 11:30 to 17:00 Tashkent time, which caused significant disruptions in the flight schedule.

Among the affected flights: Fly One Asia 7Q4461 Andizhan — Medina and 7Q342 Medina — Tashkent, Qanot Sharq flight HH901 Tashkent — Dubai, Fly Khiva 2U7706 Medina — Andizhan and Air Samarkand 9S3302 Jeddah — Tashkent. All of them returned to the airports of departure, passengers faced delays and the need to wait for new flights.

The reason for the closure was the aggravation of the situation in the region: on the morning of February 28, the United States and Israel began a military operation against Iran. The parties are preparing for a possible continuation of the conflict, which may cause further restrictions in air traffic. Information on the resumption of flights is being clarified.
