In February 2026, electricity generation in Uzbekistan increased by 6% compared to the same month last year, according to the Ministry of Energy. The country produced 7.257 billion kWh, which is 423 million kWh more than the figure for February 2025.

The increase in generation is due to an increase in the capacity of power plants and optimization of the energy system. These indicators indicate the stable development of the industry and the country's readiness to increase electricity consumption in the industrial and residential sectors.

Experts note that the dynamics of electricity production has a positive effect on the economy and investment climate of the country. Uzbekistan is gradually strengthening its energy independence, which allows it to ensure a reliable supply to both urban and rural areas, and is preparing for new energy projects.
