Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has stated the country's readiness to assist Uzbekistan in the construction of a nuclear power plant. He announced this at a meeting with the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Rakhmatulla Nazarov, reports BELTA.
According to Lukashenko, Belarus has gained experience in the construction of nuclear power units through cooperation with Russia and is ready to share it with the Uzbek side. He invited representatives of Uzbekistan to discuss the details of the project with Belarusian specialists and noted that appropriate instructions will be given to assist in the implementation of the construction.
The President emphasized that Belarusian experts will provide all possible assistance, and the Uzbek side will be able to personally assess in which areas Belarus' competencies can be useful for the development of nuclear energy in Uzbekistan.
