The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is strengthening its cooperation with the Uzbek network Texnomart, allocating $10 million to update the business. The investments will be directed towards modernizing the retail infrastructure and developing digital services, which should accelerate the company's transformation and increase its competitiveness.
The funding will go towards the purchase of new equipment, upgrading IT systems, and expanding the product range. In parallel, personnel training programs are planned, including advanced training and internships with the participation of local educational institutions, which will strengthen the retailer's personnel base.
The project is being implemented with the technical support of the Japan-Europe Cooperation Fund. In total, the EBRD has already invested about $6.9 billion in the economy of Uzbekistan as part of 208 projects, focusing on the development of the private sector. The new funding should increase the efficiency of Texnomart and the level of service, strengthening the company's position in the market.
