Uzbekistan is preparing a large-scale launch of the International Center for Digital Technologies under the brand Enterprise Uzbekistan and is simultaneously creating an International Financial Center. The projects were presented to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and involve the formation of a new ecosystem for IT businesses and investors.
The digital center will receive a special legal regime until 2100 with elements of a "regulatory sandbox." This will allow testing innovations, using international employment standards, paying salaries in foreign currency, and working with data according to global requirements. Authorities expect to attract up to 1,000 companies, create over 300,000 jobs, and reach exports of $5 billion by 2030.
At the same time, an International Financial Center is being developed, which will operate under the norms of English law with its own arbitration and court. Its goal is to increase the inflow of investments, integrate the country into the global financial system, and provide up to 15,000 new jobs. Both projects provide for tax and currency benefits, as well as the free movement of capital for foreign participants.
