Uzbekistan is studying Austrian composite pipe technologies and preparing for possible production localization. A delegation from JSC "Khududgaztaminot", led by Mahmudzhon Yakubov, visited the Fibron Pipe plant in St. Valentin, Austria, to study in detail the process of manufacturing modern high-strength pipes. Specialists familiarized themselves with the complete production chain — from processing granules to finished products, managed with the help of artificial intelligence, which increases accuracy and reduces the influence of the human factor.
The Fibron Pipe plant uses its own developments and technologies, protected by international patents, creating pipes with a working pressure from 33 to 90 bar and capable of withstanding up to 700 bar. Laboratory and long-term tests confirm the service life of the products is at least 50 years, which makes them reliable for the gas industry. During the visit, Uzbek specialists tested a batch of pipes for a pilot project and made sure that they were fully ready for operation.
Following the visit, the possibility of creating a joint venture in Uzbekistan and localizing production based on local raw materials is being considered. Such a step will allow the country to reduce dependence on imports and introduce advanced technologies into the gas distribution system, ensuring a safer and more durable supply.
