In January–March 2026, electricity production in Uzbekistan increased by 7% compared to the same period last year, the Ministry of Energy reported. In total, the country produced 23.317 billion kWh in three months, which is 1.471 billion kWh more than in January–March 2025.
Electricity supply to consumers amounted to 20.163 billion kWh, exceeding last year's figure by 262 million kWh or 1%. The increase in production was ensured by the modernization of existing facilities and the introduction of new generating facilities.
The department emphasized that work continues to ensure a stable energy supply to the population and key sectors of the economy.
