In Uzbekistan, for March 2026, the total electricity generation at solar and wind power plants reached 911.7 million kWh, which is 92.1 million kWh more than in the same period last year, or an increase of 9.7%. The main contribution was made by solar power plants with 569.4 million kWh, wind power plants produced 342.3 million kWh.
The increase in the generation of "green" energy made it possible to reduce the consumption of natural gas by 243 million cubic meters and prevent the emission of 524 thousand tons of harmful substances into the atmosphere. Thus, the development of renewable sources has a positive impact on both the energy sector and the environment of the country.
For comparison, in March 2025, the total generation of solar and wind power plants amounted to 830.8 million kWh, which emphasizes the stable growth of "green" generation and the gradual strengthening of sustainable energy infrastructure.
