AK Uzbektelecom reported a sharp increase in financial performance for the first quarter of 2026. The company's net profit reached 412.3 billion soums, compared to 25.7 billion soums a year earlier, setting a new record. Over the past 12 months, the figure approached 1 trillion soums.
Gross profit also significantly increased – from 852.6 billion to 1.16 trillion soums. A substantial contribution came from exchange rate differences, which grew more than 10-fold to reach 244.2 billion soums. Meanwhile, interest expenses remained stable, and the volume of long-term loans decreased to 6.4 trillion soums.
The company's assets grew by almost 30% to 17 trillion soums, and equity increased to 3.4 trillion soums. Revenue rose to 2.8 trillion soums, and retained earnings exceeded 1 trillion soums, increasing more than 14-fold. Total profit for the year grew almost 20-fold, highlighting the operator's rapid strengthening of financial positions.
